Birthday Gift To Myself

I had been thinking about what I wanted to get for my birthday🤔

I’ve only been to Mo’orea one time but it holds a special place in my heart💙 So this year, I decided to adopt a Super Coral from @coralgardeners in Mo’orea as a gift to myself 🐚

Coral Gardeners grow and plant resilient corals to restore dying reefs and bring life back to the ocean.

They send you your coral card, plant Super Corals, and you receive personalized updates about your coral.

Not only is it nice to be able to help save coral reefs, but also being able to get the updates about my coral. How cool is that?🤩✨

(Scientists say up to half of the world's coral reefs have already been lost or severely damaged. And the negative development continues. Scientists predict that all corals will be threatened by 2050 and that 75 percent will face high to critical threat levels. By 2070, coral reefs could be gone altogether.)

誕生日に何を買おうかな〜ってここ1か月くらい考えてた🤔

モーレアには一度しか行ったことないけど、あの日以来この場所は私にとって特別な場所。だから今年の誕生日はモーレアの @coralgardeners からスーパーコーラルを受け入れることに🐚

コーラルガーデナーは、死滅の危機にある珊瑚礁を修復するため、回復力のある珊瑚を育て、植え付けることで海を生き返らせるプロジェクトに取り組んでいる。

珊瑚を受け入れると、スーパーコーラルが植えられ、受け入れた珊瑚のカードと、その珊瑚のアップデートが送られてくる。

珊瑚礁を保護するのを助けるだけじゃなく、自分が受け入れた珊瑚のアップデートを受け取れるって素敵じゃない？🤩✨

こんな素晴らしいプロジェクトを、こんなカタチでサポートできるなんてなんかワクワクする！💙💙💙
